This roaring lion in the XIXth century style is undoubtedly inspired by those that augmented mansion's parks. This one was surely used as a model in an old Paris stucco workshop during the Empire. Its zinc-like, blue-grey patina gives it a very distinctive look…By itself, a lovely ornament, as a pair they can be used as bookends!
