Description
This partial torso of a discus thrower reproduces a fragment of the original bronze statue, now lost, created by the Greek sculptor Naucydes in the early 4th century BC. A reproduction of the whole statue is on display in the Louvre Museum's galleries.
The scaled down model reproduction work is currently preserved in the galleries of the Louvre Museum.
